Renovating Bathrooms and Kitchens in Ottawa for almost 30 Years.

Q1 – How do we kickstart the renovation process?

You can call, e-mail or come visit us to discuss your project and arrange for a free estimate. Check out our Services page for more details on the end-to-end renovation process.

Q2 – How long will it take?

It really depends on the size and complexity of the project but an average bathroom is 2 weeks and an average kitchen 2-3 weeks.
Please note that there may be an additional waiting period of up to 2 weeks for custom glass shower doors and countertops due to the fact that they need to templated on site once the shower has been built or the cabinets have been installed.

Q3 – Will we be able to live in our home while our bathroom or kitchen is being renovated?

Absolutely but you do need to be prepared as the bathroom or kitchen will be unusable for most of the renovation. We do our best to create as little inconvenience as possible and to keep your home clean and tidy during the process.

Q4 – How much can we expect it to cost?

This can vary greatly based on the size and scope of work as well as the materials you choose. We are happy to provide a free estimate once we have a better idea of what you’re looking for.

Other common questions

Can I choose the tiles, bench tops, appliances etc?

We encourage you to have as much input into the design as possible as no one knows your taste better than you do. We guide you through the selection process and advise you on the advantages and disadvantages of the products you are considering. We recommend you visit us to view our complete range of options.

Can I purchase my own products from another provider?

We strive to offer a huge selection of products in our 8000 sq. ft. showroom and we prefer to use these as we can guarantee the quality.  If you have a different product in mind, we’d be happy to try and source it however we may not be able to provide a warranty on this part of your job.

Can I just purchase products from Westend Bath and Kitchen without engaging you to do the renovations?

We specialize in delivering an end-to-end service from design through to picking fixtures/accessories and then finally delivering the completed renovation; however, products are available for purchase on their own.

Do I need to organize my own electricians and plumbers?

Westend Bath and Kitchen can provide all the required tradesmen to complete your renovation seamlessly and to our consistent high standards. This includes carpenters, plumbers, tilers, electricians etc.

Do I have to be home during the renovation?

No you do not need to be home. In fact, some of our customers go on holidays during their renovation. You can rest assured knowing your home will be in safe hands, with strict key security measures in place, full supervision of the renovation and a team that will always respect your home and your privacy.

Do you need City of Ottawa approval or a building permit?

Provided the renovation is not a major structural change you may not need one but each case can be unique. All new electrical work requires a permit and inspection. When discussing your proposed renovations, Westend Bath and Kitchen can advise you on what jobs may need a permit.
